Fashion is the hardest category to review honestly online. Sizing varies between batches. Returns are slow and expensive. The same jacket photographed under studio lighting looks different in your hallway. We can't solve that for you, but we can be straight about what we know and what we don't. We tell you when an item runs small. We say when a brand's sizing chart matches our experience and when it lies. We point out which materials wear well after twenty washes and which look tired after five.
Our fashion coverage focuses on items where construction outlasts trends. Outerwear, denim, leather goods, classic watches, and shoes that can be resoled. We also cover pieces that have to do work, not just look good: travel-grade luggage, packable rain shells, sneakers that don't fall apart on a 10,000-step day. We're skeptical of "viral" picks until we've seen them survive at least one season of wear, and we always tell you what to size up or down on.
